Touch Screen: Light and Colour
Touch Screen is an interactive film experience exploring how light and colour shape what we see and feel.
In this special programme, Light and Colour, short films are brought to life through immersive projection and gentle sensory play. Audiences are invited to explore light and colour not just by watching, but by moving, touching, listening and responding in ways that feel comfortable to them.
Part screening and part live performance, these relaxed sessions are welcoming and pressure-free.
Touch Screen was created with and for people with profound and multiple disabilities. It is particularly suited to disabled audiences, SEND families and sensory-seeking young people, and is open to all families who would enjoy a more interactive cinema experience.
Audiences are invited to explore a curated programme of short films through touch, sound, texture, temperature and gentle interaction. There is no expectation to sit still, respond verbally, or engage in a particular way — audiences are free to experience the work in whatever way feels right.
Age recommendation:
The Touch Screen team does not place a strict age bracket on this event, as cognitive age varies widely within its core audience.
For non-disabled audiences, the experience is generally well suited to ages 10 and under, and sensory-seeking teenagers and young people.
