Have Your Say, Together: Dundee Budget Consultation Drop-in
Dundee City Council’s Budget Consultation for 2026/27 is now live and runs until Friday 19 December 2025.
This year, many cultural organisations, community groups, youth projects, third-sector support, regeneration teams, and local amenities are once again facing potential cuts for a second year in a row. As it’s the time of year when we should be coming together to celebrate, UNESCO City of Design Dundee and Creative Dundee are hosting an open and upbeat Budget Consultation Drop-in and Gathering to create space to join us, show support, complete the consultation, and celebrate Dundee!
Dundee’s culture, community and access services are critical to the city’s wellbeing, economy and future — we’re gathering not to talk about problems — but to celebrate what these organisations contribute.
This Budget Consultation is about how we live our everyday lives in Dundee, including the:
- places we gather
- groups that support children, families and marginalised communities
- spaces where we feel safe
- opportunities for connection, learning and wellbeing.
What to expect:
A relaxed, welcoming space where anyone can:
- Fill in the consultation in their own time (digital + printed copies available)
- Ask questions and get support if needed
- Meet volunteers and staff from groups across Dundee
- Take part in arts + craft activities
- Share what matters to you about Dundee’s services
Can’t make it along between 10:00 - 16:00? Join the Creative Dundee and UNESCO teams for a Budget Consultation Gathering from 16:00 - 19:45.
Why join us?
- Your voice matters in shaping Dundee’s future
- Not everyone has easy access to the online form so we want to make it easy for all residents to make their voices heard, no matter which issues they feel most strongly about
- Completing the consultation alone can feel overwhelming — doing it in the company of others can make it more manageable
- Meeting the organisations who support Dundee every day brings the issues to life. It’s more than cuts — it’s about connection, community and civic pride
- Because you are much more than a consultation respondee – you are a co-creator of our city.
Everyone is welcome: Anyone who loves Dundee — parents, young people, creatives, carers, volunteers, community members, city workers and councillors.
