Puppetry Workshop: Exploring Solidarity through Puppet Making
Duration: 120 minutes
Dates: Sun 3 Nov 2024 15:00 - 17:00
In this movement and making workshop led by Emma Brierley from Temporary Commons, we will respond to The Walk's themes of migrant justice, citizenship and solidarity through the exploration of two forms of puppetry: collaborative object puppetry and 2D collaged puppetry. We'll touch on symbolism, design, gesture and simple movement mechanisms.
Participants will leave the workshop with a 2D puppet of their own making. This workshop is in collaboration with Manipulate Arts. Supported by Film Hub Scotland, part of the BFI’s Film Audience Network, and funded by Screen Scotland and National Lottery funding from the BFI.
