Drop in and Play
Partnering with Ninja Kiwi has given us a fantastic opportunity to highlight the talent and creativity arising from the games industry in Dundee. Our flagship event together is Drop in and Play, a free gaming event at DCA in which local game developers showcase their games to the public.
During each Drop in and Play event, our building is filled with local studios, independent developers and students presenting their new games. Game developers of all experience levels showcase at Drop in and Play, providing them with a great opportunity to test their new projects and receive feedback from a wide audience.
Local audiences have the chance to try out new games across a range of consoles, meet the creatives behind them and find out more about what it takes to be a game developer.

The event has featured games from a variety of genres, from platformers and puzzle games to VR experiences and table-top boardgames. Drop in and Play is free to attend and suitable for audiences of all ages and experience levels, making it the perfect family day out for anyone with an interest in games:
So much fun for the kids ! Such a brilliant day - more events like this please.
The boys loved it. Great to get access to games and also for them to be able to speak to the designers.
A wonderful event - it is great to see all the creativity in one place. Great inspiration for potential future creators.

Business Partnerships
We’re thrilled to partner with Ninja Kiwi on Drop in and Play. As a charity, DCA is reliant on support from local businesses to keep enriching the lives of people and communities across Dundee. Our partnership with Ninja Kiwi and the success of Drop in and Play is the perfect example of the impact that this support can have.
We develop bespoke partnerships with businesses, to support our charitable work and help businesses to reach their aims. By partnering with us, businesses can make a real investment in the local community and be seen as a key part of community and cultural life in Dundee. We also offer a Business Membership programme, which offers staff a range of benefits across our programme.
DCA is the creative hub in the heart of Dundee. Supporting its mission is hugely important to everyone at Ninja Kiwi. The Drop in and Play event gives us and other local developers a unique chance to see the joy our video games can bring in person and over the years, see the impact on the community as a whole. Being able to help bring this to life and offer help and advice has been hugely rewarding. The incredible package of bonuses and discounts available through our support is a great way for us to treat our staff to everything the DCA has to offer.Danny Parker Executive Vice President, Ninja Kiwi
