Discovery Film Festival is back!
Taking place from Sat 25 October to Sun 2 November 2025, the festival brings the best family films from around the world to Dundee.
Tickets for all events are Donate What You can – you can choose how much you’d like to donate to the festival, from £0 to £8. As well as our film screenings, there are creative workshops to enjoy, and don’t miss our exhibition from Lauren Gault, filled with sculptures and prints inspired by myth, folklore and farming.

Opening Day Gala
Discovery Film Festival opens with some celebrations on Sat 25 October - join us for a special day of films and creativity, plus delicious cakes courtesy of our friends at legendary Scottish bakery Fisher & Donaldson.
For younger children
Younger children (pre-school and up) will love our new Shorts for Wee Ones, which can also be enjoyed in a Relaxed cinema setting, along with magical interactive experience Enchanted Cinema: Where the Wild Things Are + My Neighbour Totoro.
