Family Activity at DCA

We host many fun activities for all ages at DCA, from film screenings and workshops, to free creative activities and online resources. To make it as easy as possible for you to plan your family trip, our monthly calendar brings everything together in one place.

This month you can enjoy two Discovery Family Film Club screenings, experiment with sound and light as Soundplay return and enjoy lots of fun activities inside and outside of Create Space.

If you're coming along to DCA to enjoy some family activity, don't forget that you can extend your visit with lunch in Jute Café Bar (you can even colour in the kids menu) and a trip to our shop, which stocks some great toys, books and pocket money friendly games.

Workshops and events

Soundplay Projects are back this month for more fun with sound and light. Book your session now, with options for 0-5 year olds and over 5s. We've also got more Messy Play workshops, but be quick - tickets for these always go fast. And Create Space is filled with activities for you to try or you can just relax on our sofas.

In the cinema

For Discovery Family Film Club we're combining special powers and detective work with beautifully animated adventure Phantom Boy. There's also a Relaxed screening which provides lower sound levels and constant lighting.

And that's not the only Discovery Family Film Club screening we have this month - join us for Nature's Resources in partnership with the Fashion in Film Festival and V&A Dundee. This special children’s programme showcases the harmonious collaboration between humans and non-human species, while celebrating the power of animation to bring the impossible to life.
