New films from Fri 15 August
See what's on including Materialists, Together, The Bad Guys 2 and more
The question in DCA Cinema this week is are you team Pedro Pascal or team Chris Evans? Both star alongside Dakota Johnson in witty romance Materialists, the new film from Past Lives' director Celine Song.
From modern dating to a centenary celebration, we're delighted to be screening Alfred Hitchcock's first feature The Pleasure Garden, introduced by curator Mathhew Jarron and featuring live piano accompaniment by Steven Gellatly. Elsewhere, families can enjoy a final summer holidays cinema trip with The Bad Guys 2 or Wolf Children, while horror fans can enjoy new release Together.
Rounding off our week in cinema, we've got the first film in the Oslo Stories Trilogy: Dreams, our Michael Haneke retrospective continues with The Piano Teacher, and we're exploring the life of a surrealist writer with The Ballad of Suzanne Césaire. Enjoy!
