New films from Fri 17 April

See what's on including Glenrothan, California Schemin' and much more.

Legendary Dundonian actor Brian Cox makes his directorial debut with Glenrothan this week, a film he describes as a “love letter to Scotland”. There are more chances to see Scotland on screen in California Schemin’, the gripping biographical drama that features scenes filmed here in Dundee.

From further afield, don’t miss Two Prosecutors, a Russian-language historical drama that was nominated for the Palme d’Or at Cannes Film Festival last year, and Palestine Comedy Club, a powerful documentary about a group of Palestinian comedians undertaking an international tour as war breaks out at home.

And there’s fun for the final weekend of the school holidays – Disney Pixar’s animated comedy Hoppers is fun for all ages, and we’re thrilled to host Touch Screen: Light and Colour in our Create Space; it’s an interactive film experience particularly suited to disabled audiences, SEND families and sensory-seeking young people.
