New films from Fri 19 June

See what’s on including Toy Story 5, Disclosure Day, The Misfits and more

The much-anticipated return of Toy Story arrives at DCA Cinema this week. In Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5, the toys meet their match in the age of electronics, when Lilypad, a brand-new tablet device, appears — with Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Joan Cusack back as the voices of Woody, Buzz and Jessie. Will playtime ever be the same?

There’s more spectacle in Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day, a sci-fi thriller led by Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor and Colin Firth. And Marilyn Monroe’s final film, The Misfits, returns to the big screen in a new 4K restoration, marking the centenary of her birth — John Huston’s elegiac take on the western is a touching drama of broken-hearted cowboys and broken-down marriages.

For the UK Green Film Festival, Home is the Ocean is a portrait of a family raising six children at sea while campaigning for the planet. And our latest National Theatre Live broadcast is Les Liaisons Dangereuses, with Lesley Manville and Aidan Turner turning seduction into strategy in a game of love and ruin. Enjoy!
