New films from Fri 22 August
See what's on including The Life of Chuck, Eddington and Materialists.
Love, war and rock 'n' roll - we're exploring life's biggest joys and toughest challenges in this week's cinema programme.
Tom Hiddleston stars in The Life of Chuck, a life-affirming fantasy drama adapted from a Stephen King novella and directed by Mike Flanagan. Then it's off to New Mexico for Eddington, Ari Aster's gripping Western starring Jacquin Phoenix and Pedro Pascal.
The Oscar-winning team behind 20 Days in Mariupol are back with another powerful documentary, 2000 Meters to Andriivka. And then we dial it up to 11 for the welcome return of This is Spinal Tap to our screens.
We've got more chances to see Celine Song's spiky rom-com Materialists, and the final films in our Michael Haneke retrospective are psychological thriller Caché and haunting historical drama The White Ribbon.
Plus! Drop in to our Info Space from Thursday 21 until Sun 24 August, where you can try our free immersive experience Homing: Navigating Landscapes in Virtual Reality.
Enjoy!
