New films from Fri 7 November
See what's on including The Choral, The Mastermind, Bugonia and more.
Experience the power of music with The Choral, arriving at DCA Cinema this week. Set in 1916 Yorkshire, Ralph Fiennes plays an unconventional chorus master tasked with bringing together the local community as the war rages on the Western Front.
Elsewhere, Josh O’Connor plays an incompetent art thief in The Mastermind, directed by Kelly Reichardt (Showing Up). There’s more time to see Yorgos Lanthimos’s satirical thriller Bugonia, along with true Scottish story I Swear and Guillermo del Toro’s acclaimed interpretation of Frankenstein.
We begin our Too Much: Melodrama on Film season with All That Heaven Allows (4K), and Live from the Met continues with La Bohème. We’re screening Exhibition on Screen: Caravaggio, and we join Take One Action Film Festival for inspiring environmental documentary Power Station, followed by a panel discussion. Enjoy!
