Children drawing at a table in Create Space

Create Space

Duration: Times vary
Dates: Tue 2 - Sun 28 Jun 2026

Free, drop-in

Create Space is a flexible, comfortable and imaginative space; a space in which people of all ages can see, think, make and do.

Inside you'll find Make Now, Think Later!, a display of work produced as part of the Alexandra Reinhardt Memorial Awards 2025-26. This runs until Sun 21 June and we've got some fun activities inspired by the project. After that closes, we'll be bringing  you activity sheets inspired by our exhibitions: Adrián Balseca: In the Forest Ruins and Francis Dosoo: Portrait of Dorothy Gale.

Alongside getting creative with activity sheets and art materials, you can browse the books in our art library for children and spend some time in the Play Box, a small, safe play space for very wee ones and their grown-ups.

If Create Space is closed when you visit, you can find a selection of activity sheets and materials on our Art Cart which is located in the Information Space. You can check the opening times for Create Space below.
