These cameras roll back the years to when photography was a new science. Learn how to make a workable film camera using a coffee or biscuit tin from your kitchen cupboards.
Once you’ve built your camera, you’ll take some snaps with it and then learn how to develop paper photos in a professional darkroom.

Need to know
- What to bring
Bring along a coffee or biscuit tin to make your camera with.
- What to wear
We’ll provide gloves and aprons for working in the darkroom. We recommend bringing warm layers as we’ll be working outside for part of the day. Please note that open-toed footwear or sandals are not allowed in the Print Studio.
- Food & drinks
A sealed water flask or drinking vessel is permitted but other food and drinks are not allowed in the studio.
