Signwriting
Learn traditional hand-lettering and create your own sign.
Learn the basics of signwriting: from brush-handling skills to illustrative work and gold-leaf or glass gilding.
This introductory course covers various brushes, paints, mahlsticks, pounce patterns and tracings, chalks, tapes, letterform layout and hand-drawing of Sans Serif, Roman and Casual Scripts. If you've been before then the tutor can help you move on to a different technique.
Fantastic two days of sign-writing with Brian - an amazing amount of expertise to tap into. Brian was an excellent tutor - getting the best out of us all and sharing tips of the trade.
Really informative and enjoyable two days. Relaxed learning environment and surpassed expectations - took away a lot of information with a clear idea of where to start / how to get more info in sign painting.
