Enjoy festive films, seasonal shopping, Christmas crafts and more
Get ready for the festive season at DCA. Through November and December, we'll be bringing you classic Christmas films on the big screen, seasonal workshops, our Crafted market and lots more winter fun.
We know Christmas can be a busy time so we're making sure you can book to see your festive favourites in DCA Cinema as early as possible. It's a Wonderful Life is an annual tradition here at DCA and this year the film celebrates its 80th anniversary. We've also got family favourite The Muppet Christmas Carol and animated adventures with Arthur Christmas, which is marking its 15th anniversary. DCA Supporters and Members get early access to these screenings, with general sale starting at 10:00 on Fri 9 October.
Our countdown to Christmas also includes the return of our festive market, Crafted. A whole host of talented makers from across Scotland will be filling DCA Galleries on Sat 21 and Sun 22 November. And we have not one, but two Christmas Crafternoons. Join us to create your own personalised gifts and gift wrap, make some eco-friendly decorations or have a go at both.
We'll be adding more festive screenings and events as Christmas gets closer - watch this space!

Festive favourites in the cinema
Enjoy a Christmas cinema trip with the wee ones as we bring The Muppet Christmas Carol and Arthur Christmas to the big screen. Save on trips to both with our family tickets for groups of three and four.
And it wouldn't be Christmas at DCA without It's a Wonderful Life. This year marks the film's 80th anniversary and it's just as moving and touching after all this time.
Pick your seats first with priority booking for DCA Supporters and Members until Fri 9 October at 10:00.
Christmas crafting
Get hands on at our Christmas Crafternoon workshops. We have two to choose from, or you can take part in both.
For our November session, we'll be joined by S.K Works who will be showing us how to make a decorated leather keyring that you can personalise with text to make the perfect gift or stocking filler. You'll also be able to create some printed gift wrap, embroidered gift bags and fold some gift boxes. In December, we'll be focusing on decorations. Create an alternative wreath, fabric tree ornaments and paper stars.
We've also got a packed programme of creative classes in DCA Print Studio. Learn a new skill and create a unique piece of art to gift to your nearest and dearest.
Seasonal shopping
Our Crafted market is back for 2026. Taking place in DCA Galleries on Sat 21 and Sun 22 November, you'll be able to browse and buy work from some of the best contemporary makers from across Scotland.
DCA Shop is another great spot to do some festive shopping. Open daily from 10:00 to 17:30, our shelves are filled with design, jewellery, books, craft, stationery, toys, homeware and more. We also have a wide range of limited edition prints by Scottish and international artists as part of our Editions programme, publications that link to the exhibitions in our galleries and prints made in DCA Print Studio by our talented Registered Users.

Eat, drink and be merry in Jute Café Bar
Head to Jute Café Bar to relax after some shopping or enjoy dinner alongside your cinema trip. It's a great spot to enjoy coffee and cake, grab an after-work drink or tuck into a delicious meal.
They've also put together a delicious festive menu. This can be enjoyed from Thu 26 November to Thu 31 December, with two courses fro £31and three courses for £38.50. Get together with friends and family during the festive season or make time for a Christmas date night. Check out the menu below and book early to avoid disappointment.
