We’ve got some uplifting films for you this week – in every sense! Don’t miss our Q&A screening of feelgood comedy-drama Power Ballad with songwriter Gary Clark.

Documentary The Balloonists tells the story of a legendary 1999 attempt to circumnavigate the globe in a hot air balloon, and Hen follows a chicken who takes flight from a battery farm and makes her way in the confusing human world. Then we’re heading to the stars with a chance to see Christopher Nolan’s Oscar-winning sci-fi spectacular Interstellar on 35mm.

Plus, don’t miss two mountain-set films showing this week. A group of New Zealand teens set out to climb Mount Taranaki in Discovery Family Film Club: The Mountain, a drama for age 12+, and The Condor Daughter is the story of a young woman who dreams of a life beyond her home in the Bolivian Andes.
