Starting this week, we have Robert Pattinson starring in the acclaimed true-life thriller Primetime, the gloriously kooky Olivia Colman folk magic rom-com Wicker, Korean festival favourite Possible Love (from the director of the superb Burning), and the new uncut restoration of Ken Russell's controversial masterpiece The Devils.

We also have two weeks of Discovery Film Festival, showcasing the best new family films from around the globe at Donate What You Can prices (from £0 to £8). Join us for incredible features, wonderful short film programmes for different age groups, and magical workshops.

Two men look at each other

From 6 November, John Malkovich and Sam Rockwell star as bickering CIA assassins in Wild Horse Nine, the new dark comedy from Martin McDonagh (The Banshees of Inisherin, In Bruges). Co-starring Steve Buscemi, Parker Posey and Tom Waits, Wild Horse Nine was a huge hit with audiences at TIFF and has already had rave reviews and awards buzz.

Speaking of raves and awards rumours, don't miss the chance to see La Bola Negra on the big screen from 13 November. This glorious tragic romance is based on the work of Federico García Lorca, and is beautifully made with a stellar cast (including cameos from Penélope Cruz and Glenn Close). This is one you'll want to see at the cinema.

Godzilla rears up from a ruined city roaring

The same is definitely true of Godzilla Minus Zero, the sequel to the Japanese monster smash hit Godzilla Minus One. Made by the same director and creative team, this promises to continue its predecessor's blend of jaw-dropping effects, powerful personal drama and deep historical resonance.

There's historical resonance running through inspiring crowd-pleaser Being Heumann, another festival favourite with great word of mouth. It's based on the true story of the activist Judy Heumann and the 1977 protest that she led for institutional reform to improve accessibility for those with disabilities, which became the longest occupation of a federal building in US history and changed the lives of millions of people.

From 20 November, we'll be showing this year's Palme d'Or winner Fjord, starring Sebastian Stan and Renate Reinsve. This family drama comes from the director of Four Months, Three Weeks, and Two Days and comes with superb reviews. It's a conversation starter that will stay with you long after you leave the cinema.

You Can See Everything

And, of course, we'll be showing You Can See Everything. Seemingly coming out of nowhere to become the most talked-about film of the year, the documentary about Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes is the kind of film you have to see to believe.

We'll also be kicking off our French Film Festival with the hilarious Comédie Française, about a stage production of Macbeth going horribly wrong just hours before opening, and our Bowie on Film season begins with Nicolas Roeg's classic sci-fi The Man Who Fell to Earth, celebrating its 50th anniversary with a 4K restoration. And don't miss the 50th anniversary of classic underdog story Rocky in 4K.
