Print Studio Residency Exchange with Limerick Printmakers
An opportunity for Registered Users of DCA Print Studio
We're excited to invite applications from Registered Users of our Print Studio for the Print Network Ireland International Residency Exchange Programme 2026 – 2027, supported through the Arts Council International Residency Initiative Scheme and partner studios.
This two-week residency will take place at Limerick Printmakers, Ireland, a vibrant printmaking studio and creative space located in the heart of Limerick City’s historic Johns Square. The studio's facilities include letterpress, stone and plate lithography, silkscreen, intaglio including aquatint and spit bite techniques, relief, monoprint, collograph, along with cyanotype and a black and white darkroom.
The residency offers artists the opportunity to develop their practice within a dynamic international environment while engaging with Limerick’s rich cultural and artistic landscape.
Applicants must be a current Registered User of DCA Print Studio, have an active artistic practice and be available to undertake the residency between Mon 8 and Tue 23 March 2027. Find out more about this exciting opportunity below.

About the residency
The selected artist will undertake a residency of two weeks at Limerick Printmakers. The residency offers dedicated time and space for:
- Research and experimentation
- Development of new work
- Technical exploration and skills development – Members must be fully competent in the technique they want to work in, if that technique is already available in DCA e.g. silkscreen, intaglio etc. If there is a process that you wish to work in that is not currently available or that studio members do not have access to in DCA, a set amount of training can be provided if the successful applicant in this instance.
- International exchange and collaboration
- Engagement with local artists and arts professionals
Artists will have access to professional printmaking facilities and technical support throughout their residency. The residency may also provide opportunities for artists to engage with the public through talks, demonstrations, workshops, or open studio events. As part of their residency, selected artists may be invited to present a short talk on their practice or lead a brief demonstration showcasing their area of printmaking expertise.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be a current member of Dundee Contemporary Arts Print Studio
- Demonstrate an active artistic practice
- Show a clear interest in international exchange and professional development
- Be available to undertake the residency within the specified dates
Residency Period
The residency must be completed in any 14 day period between the dates of Mon 8 - Tue 23 March 2027.
Support
The residency includes:
- Return travel including flights and bus transfers
- Accommodation for up to 2 weeks provided by LP
- Subsistence support – Up to €630/ €45 per day up to 14 days
- Artist fee – Up to €1,358/ €97 per day up to 14 days
- Materials support to the value of €525
- Studio access and technical assistance

Applicants should submit the following compiled into one pdf no more than 10MB in size:

- Residency proposal (maximum 400 words)
- Artist CV
- Portfolio including 8 to 12 images of work that represents your practice.
Images must include full artwork details, date, title, size and print technique - Applicants that do not meet this criteria will not be considered
