As part of the Cultural Olympiad, the Dundee Wave of Change initiative provided an opportunity for a group of young people to depict their home city through the medium of film. Young people from The Shore – a young person’s venue in the city centre - explore their experiences of living in Scotland’s fourth city and capture a broad range of aspirations for Dundee’s future.

A key feature of the making the film was to engage and empower the young people throughout the process of planning, scripting, shooting and editing the film - providing support as required but allowing the young people to take ownership of the project. The result is a multi-faceted exploration of Dundee today together set alongside range of hopes (and fears) for the city’s future.
