Screen Printing (Intermediate)

Four-week course

Course dates: Wed from 12 February (four-week course).

Move on to develop your skills, using photographic techniques and power-assisted screen printing tables. For those who have completed Screen Printing (Beginners) or similar.

What will be covered?
This course covers all aspects of how to construct a screen print using images from photo stencils. You will first be shown examples of limited editions of prints that were produced in the print studio. These examples demonstrate the range of mark-making and types of images that can be used in screen printing. Also in the first week you can partake in basic drawing and block-printing techniques which then can be used in your designs. The following three weeks will be in-depth demonstrations for using the studio equipment to coat, expose, develop and print a screen.

What should I bring?
You can bring images either on a USB pen or in hard copy (photos or sketchbook drawing).

What should I wear?
Aprons are provided in the studio but it makes sense to wear older shirts or t-shirts as there is a risk of inks splashing on clothing.  Please note no sandals or open-toed footwear in the Print Studio.

What should I expect?
After completion of the course you will have a small edition of screenprints. You''ll also have completed a full Screen Printing induction for the Print Studio, after which you'll have the option of joining as a studio member, allowing you to come and use the Print Studio independently.

Please ensure you have read our Print Studio Terms and Conditions before booking on to any of our Print Studio courses or workshops.
