Volunteer Role opportunity with Discovery Film Festival 2026

Minimum 4 shifts between 31 October - 18 November

Discovery Film Festival is celebrating its 23rd year and we are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help make the festival a success!

Discovery showcases the best films for families and young people from around the world through two exciting weekends of films, creative activities, and events, as well as two weeks of screenings and events for schools. 

As a DFF volunteer, you will be on hand to greet, guide, and support school groups throughout the festival. You will be the first point of contact for teachers and students, creating an organised and exciting arrival experience, escorting them to their screenings and ensuring they depart safely. 

This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with young people/children, thrive in a high-energy environment and want to support film education.

Key Dates:

  • Volunteer Induction: Wednesday 14 October
  • Discovery Film Festival 2026: 31 October – 18 November
