Shorts for Wee Ones 2026 – Schools Screening
Discovery Film Festival school booking enquiries open on Mon 24 August.
Always a popular feature of any Discovery Film Festival, this collection of seven short films for our youngest viewers is sure to delight and amuse. We’ve gathered a variety of stories and styles from France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Croatia, and Singapore.
Featuring bats helping bugs, a tiny but adventurous mouse, a farm dog willing to share his food with a chicken, a cheeky squirrel in search of a walnut, a dancing snowman, a porcelain dog’s chase for its ball through a pottery shelf, and a human fish creature. The films in this programme focus on curiosity and discovery, surprising friendships; promoting kindness and finding new perspectives.
All these short films are dialogue free.
These magical tales will delight children age 3+ and are a colourful introduction to the cinema experience as well as moving image literacy.
